Onward - Hopefully!

Saturday we went to the Casey Jones museum and learned about the hero who saved all the passengers on his train. There was a really great General Store across the road that was 1/2 museum 1/2 Cracker Barrel on steroids. It was really neat! For an unexpected 4 day layover Jackson was a great place to be!

Sunday was a day of Legos, the Cowboys, dinner and a movie. And Ryan's first Skype clarinet lesson! His tudor from school is teaching him on the road. He also managed to talk me into getting a clarinet to play with him. So he is teaching me (I played for 2 years in elementary school - so it feels like yesterday...yeah, right).

We are now the proud new owners of a F350 Dually, which should be the truck of our 5th wheelin' dreams. Never thought we would have come home with a new truck but our transmission thought otherwise. Apparently we left it on the highway - it was completely blown out.

The new plan is to get the hitch installed tomorrow morning and then we are headed out to Pigeon Forge. Not the same as Asheville and the Biltmore. We're off to PF - home of Dollywood! We couldn't get reservations in Asheville - peak season with the Fall leaves but that's ok. An excuse to try again another time.

We'll see if it all goes smoothly tomorrow and that FedEx comes thru with the morning delivery of our hitch!!!!!

  2. Love the trains! Kylie looks like she's got a variety of talents and Betsy and Ryan look quite talented playing the clarinet. What, pray tell, is Tim's talent???? Love the posts; keep them coming.
