Disney Day by Ryan

This Morning we got up and got on the boat that took us to the monorail to Epcot. We went straight to the Soaring ride to get fast passes. Once we got fast passes we went to the Mission To Mars ride and rode it. It was so intense! After that we went back to the Soaring ride and rode it. Of course we got the worst seats and I did not like the ride. After that we went to one more ride and went back to the RV. We registered Mousse in the dog costume contest and I completed my homework. At 4 we took Mousse to the contest but we didn't win anything. After eating dinner at a fancy restaurant we got on a monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We made a fuss to get our dessert at the candy store (you were supposed to have special wristbands to be in the park tonight) but we got what we wanted. We took the green boat back to the RV park and when we got there we went to bed.

Animal Kingdom by Ryan

This morning we woke up, had breakfast, and got on the next bus to the Animal Kingdom. Once we got into the gate we went straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari. We saw lots of different animals like hippos, elephants, and lions. At the end we saw the new zebras that moved in a week ago. After that we rode the train to the Conservation Station and got to see a gorilla having surgery. After going into the petting zoo we took the train back to Asia and had lunch. We got fast passes for Expedition Everest and went to Dino Land. We rode a roller coster that was pretty cool and went back to Asia for the Mount Everest roller coster. It was the best ride I've ever been on in my whole life. Once we were done with the ride we went home. I had to complete my schoolwork for the day before dinner. We had spaghetti for dinner and then went to see the fireworks. Today was fun!

Disney World by Ryan

We got up and set off to Disney World. After three hours in the car we arrived at Fort Wilderness (the RV park at Disney World). We hung out in the RV for the rest of the day and then went to bed.

In the morning my dad left for a two day business trip. After the shuttle picked him up Kylie, Mom and I went to the Magic Kingdom. The first ride we went on was the Space Mountain ride. It was intense! After that we went on the Buzz Lightyear ride. Once we finished that we decided to go on the Jungle Boat ride, then to the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room, and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The last ride we went on was Big Thunder Mountain. We had lunch then went back to the RV park.

We went on one golf cart ride to look for halloween decorations and to see the fireworks. But we found out that they weren't doing fireworks tonight. We did some of tomorrows schoolwork so we could go to the animal kingdom the next day. Today was fun!

PS-The best ride was the Space Mountain ride.

Jacksonville Not Quite Jackson

We arrived in Jacksonville, Florida unscathed. No hurricane-like weather and an easy 5 hour drive with our lunch break. Ok, wow, how does a 5 hour drive feel like nothing?! At this point it has become a huge blessing that our transmission obliterated and we were forced to get our new, quiet beastie. Not a care in the world - if we were pulling with the original Big Tex the idea of a windy day would have meant a major upper arm workout for Tim. We coasted along like it was another day.

We arrived in Jacksonville at 3:15. It is the big Georgia Bulldogs/Florida Gators game tomorrow. Our RV park is a big party place tonight. Big time karaoke but no Vanilla Ice from our in-house singer. Guess he needs his back-up singers. I hear "Piano Man" right now along with wind gusts.

Tim, Kylie and I headed over to make a last minute grocery run at Walmart. Unlike the Highland Village Walmart, this one had a 5 lb tub of pork chitterlings/Chitlins for $5.29! Couldn't fit them in the freezer so we had to pass. Tim has been bed-bound with a stomach ache for the last hour. We ate the same thing tonight so it must be from him getting in such close proximity to the suspect pork.

We are off to bed, there may be some rocking and rolling of the RV from Sandy tonight....I may have a problem with that! Damn Sandy!

Road trip by Ryan

This morning I woke up early so I could play Roblox for a little bit. After I played Roblox I started on my homework. Thankfully It was a Friday and I only had a little bit of schoolwork. When I finished we got in the truck and started driving to the next stop.

We were lucky that hurricane Sandy did not interfere with our road trip. My mom read Harry Potter to us for a while too. Once we arrived at the RV park we unpacked and met some nice neighbors. They had a kid my age named Jakob. We played a tossing game and then rode around the RV park in his golf cart. After dinner my dad got a stomach ache and we all went to bed.

The Fair by Ryan

This morning my dad and I got up early to go crab fishing one last time. We were the first to arrive at the dock. Then some other people came. After three hours we caught two crabs and gave them both to one of our friends. When we were done crabbing I had to buckle down on my schoolwork to get it all done. When my work was finished I gave my mom a clarinet lesson. She learned how to play jingle bells. After that we went to the fair. It was the biggest fair I've ever seen. It had good ticket prices, lots of rides, and good prizes. I won an airsoft gun and a shock pen (which my sister got it taken away from me already). My sister won a stuffed dinosaur. The fair was awesome!

More Schoolwork by Ryan

This morning I got up and played Roblox for a while. When my parents woke up I got breakfast and watched a brainpop video. After breakfast I had to do a lot of schoolwork. After about four hours I finally finished my schoolwork and we went to Charles Town. Charles Town is where Charleston was founded. We saw a alligator, bison, bear, puma, river otters, deer and pelicans. After that we went out for sushi. I had a california roll and a lettuce rap. It was delicious.

This morning we got up and did our schoolwork. Then went kayaking in a lake. My mom and I both got our own kayak while my dad and Kylie took a tandem. A sign said that alligators live in the lake which freaked me out. We paddled to the dog park- dog beach -and headed back. I practiced my clarinet and read some of my book. Around three thirty we headed into Down Town Charleston for a carriage ride. The ride was very educational and neat. Our driver knew everything about the town. It was kind of boring though. After that we went to a paella restaurant and then to a candy store. Today was kind of fun. " />

Great Start to a Great Day!

As Ryan said, he came up with a plan last night to surprise me this morning. He was so excited, proud and happy. It was extremely sweet!

They went off to try and catch crabs (Amy, you may want to skip reading today!) and were successful. We went to Fort Sumter this afternoon. Ryan was planning the whole way home on how to get to go crabbing again. He first came up with his brilliant plan of having us take everything to the dock and have a crab boil picnic. Tim and I nixed that idea but settled on a quick late afternoon run. They caught another 4 crabs. Tim had a feast tonight. Ryan likes to catch them but not eat them. I am not a fan, too much work and I don't like to see my food alive either. Tim is a happy camper but I think had his fill. Tomorrow we are going out to eat!
