A Cruise

In the morning we skipped schoolwork and got in the car. We had a full day of driving ahead of us. Around five pm we arrived at our hotel. When we tried to check in they said that we never made reservations, so we had to drive to a different hotel. After we went out for dinner we got to go to a really cool playground. It was big and even had a small carousel.
The next morning we got on the road again. We arrived at Wellington at two pm and had a quick lunch. Then it was time to ride the ferry over to the Southern island. When we arrived at the ferry I thought it was a cruise ship. We watched all of the trucks and cars drive on to the lower decks while my dad checked us in. When we got on the ship I found that there were couches instead of chairs. We were lucky and got a window seat. Three hours later we arrived at the south island. Dad got us a new rental car that was gold. Then we had to drive an hour and a half on an extremely windy road (with eighteen wheelers driving on it too) to get to our house.
The next day we did schoolwork until three pm. Then we went into town to look around. After some hardcore grocery shopping we came back to our house on the beach. We had a nice dinner on our back porch. Then we got to go to the beach for a little bit. I found a lot of tidal pools with lots of crabs and mussels in them. It was fun.
