Trick Or Treat

Today is Halloween! Dad took mom to the airport this morning because she was going out of town for a few days. Then dad picked us up from the Brigante's house (we had a sleep over there). We went back to the RV and did some schoolwork. We then took mom's car to the Lexis dealership to get an oil change. After all of that it was getting close to three thirty. It was time to go trick or treating! Mr. Brigante took us to several different places. First we trick-or-treated down a street that had businesses in the Halloween spirit. Then we went to the wharf to trick or treat. When it was getting dark we went to a neighborhood. That's where we got the good stuff. Lots of the houses were giving out handfuls of candy. Three houses were giving out extra large king sized candy bars. At the end I had more than seven pounds of candy! The best part is I didn't even throw up! This has been my best Halloween ever!

Dad Is Back - Oct 29

Today we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Then we did schoolwork all day. We got a break for lunch but right after that we got back to work. When we finished (around four) we went for a walk down to the beach. The RV park we are staying at is across the street from the beach. When we were walking down to it, Kylie fell down on the cement and got a decent sized cut on her hand. She was very tough! Half of the beach was rocks and the other half was covered in sand. In the rocks we found tide pools with anemones in them. I also found four lobster tails that washed up onto the shore. Then, went back to the RV and had dinner. After dinner someone knocked on the door. Dad was back!

It's Halloween Time Again.

Yesterday dad left to go to a board meeting. After lunch Mr. Briganti showed us around Santa Barbra. We went to the wharf, then we went to the mission. The mission was started around the seventeen hundreds. It is basically a fort with a church inside it. Then we all went out for pizza. Today I did schoolwork all morning and after lunch I got to play some Roblox. Then, around four, we went to Boo At the Zoo. We went trick or treating inside a zoo! I was the Grin Reaper, and Kylie was a peacock.

Star Wars Exhibit

Today I did scholwork until lunch, then dad, Kylie and I all went to a museum.  The museum had just opened a Star Wars exhibit.  They were borrowing all of the suits and models from Gorge Lucas' private collection.  I got to see all of the models that they used in the Star Wars movies.  Did you know Yoda was a puppet and not a midget in a costume?!  I had lots of fun and learned a lot more about Star Wars!  When we finished looking at the exhibit we got to see an IMax movie about Monarch butterflies.  It was very interesting!  Tomorrow we are going to Santa Barbara.

The Aquarium

Today we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  When we got there it was otter feeding time.  We got to see otters munching on tastey sea urchins.  They dive under the water, grab their food, then swim back up and lay on their backs in the water while they eat.  When the feeding was over we went to the Ocean exibit.  There were sharks, dolphine fish, tuna, and even sardines!  Today they were feeding the sardines.  The school they were in was fourteen thousand strong.  They came swimming from the bottom of the tank to the top to where the food pellets were being thrown in.  While they were feeding several of them got seperated from the school and were picked off by the bigger fish.  Fun Fact:  The aquarium used to be a sardine canning company.  When the feeding was over we went through the rest of the aquarium.  I got to touch a flounder and a manta ray.  After the aquarium we went to a Creperie for a snack. I got a banana crepe.  It was delicious!
