Eel Dodgeball

Yesterday we did schoolwork all morning until we went to the playground. After playing in the playground for thirty minutes we went to the docks. We saw a lot of commercial fishing boats being prepped to go out to sea. After wandering around at the docks for a while we came back home and had dinner. When we finished dinner dad and I snuck out to go flounder fishing. We even set up our brand new crab pot to see if we would catch anything. We wandered around the flats and did not find any flounder. We did see hundreds of small fish and huge eels. When the tide started to rise the current picked up and fish and eels came swimming at us like torpedoes. That's when we came up with the game eel dodgeball. The reason we did not like the eels swimming past us is because they're very slimy and they tickle you when they swim by.
The next morning we did schoolwork until lunch like usual. I got to watch the Super Bowl with my dad, and of course the Ravens one. After the game my dad and I went fishing. We caught several small fish but no large fish. After we had hamburgers for dinner we went to bed.

New Zealand fact of the day- A tasty type of crab that lives in New Zealand is called the Paddle Crab. It is similar to our Blue Crab.
