Robots

On Monday I started in a summer robotics class. There are only five kids my age there. I start at nine am and finish at twelve pm. It ends Friday. We get to build a basic Lego Mindstorm robot and then add on to them. My robot has tank treads with a working scoop in the front. We do different challenges with our robots. We tell it what we want it to do on a computer then we download it to our robots. We can make them talk, move and show pictures on the screen. On Friday we have our final challenge with our robots. We have to start out on a line, drive several feet to a ball bin, and move the plastic balls back to the line to get points. My robot is built like a bull dozer, so I will probably win. I love robots!

Rafting

Two days ago it was my friend, Cole's, birthday. We had a huge airsoft war with two other of his friends in an overgrown valley. Then we all had a sleepover at his house. We slept in a tent, on his front yard. The next morning we had blueberry pancakes. Then we all went rafting. Cole's parents rented a raft. His dad steered, while everyone else paddled. We went through class two rapids and everyone got dunked. I had a blast! When we got back to his house we got to jump on his trampoline. It was raining so we got to bounce super high. Then it started to hail. It was painful and fun! I went home after we had an epic Nerf war. I stayed home and watched Percy Jackson and the Olympians while the rest of my family went out to dinner.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Today we went into town to watch the Fourth of July parade. We went with a family in our neighborhood that are good friends with us. It started at ten thirty and ended at twelve. It was long! I was just sad that we couldn't ride on our fire truck this year. We got a lot of candy and the floats were awesome! When it was over we went home and played for two hours. Around two we went to our neighbor's (the Boomers) house and had dinner-lunch with them. For dessert we had key lime pie and meringues with fruit. It was delicious! We went back home around four. We might go see the fireworks at ten tonight if we are still awake. Happy Fourth of July, and to all a good night!
