Safari Park

We got up and did schoolwork all morning until lunch. Dad was nice and went out and got Chic-Fil-A for us. After lunch we got in the truck and drove to the cool Safari park that we discovered last year. It's the park where you drive through a field of free range exotic animals. There were also lots of peacocks that were roaming everywhere. Mom drove the truck while dad, Kylie and I all got in the back of the truck. I got to feed lots of animals, even an ostrich. After that we went to gift shop and Kylie got a peacock feather. When we got back we had fajitas for dinner and I got to ride my scooter.

Fact of the Day- Tennessee has the Music capital city, Nashville.

Same Places

This morning we got up and did schoolwork while dad and mom got the RV ready to move again. At ten am we got on the road. We pulled over once to have left over spaghetti for lunch. Around three we arrived at the exact same spot our old truck broke down last year. We are also staying at the RV place where we stayed when our truck broke down. I did more schoolwork while everyone else went to the store. We had a delicious steak dinner and then went to bed.

Fact of the Day- Tennessee has eight different states bordering it. They are AL, GA, MS, NC, VA, KY, MO, AR.

Lets Go

This morning I got up and played Minecraft (my new favorite video game). Around ten thirty we all piled into the truck (including Mousse) and set off on another adventure. It took us five hours to get to Hot Springs, AR. On the way there I learned about Arkansas. Did you know that Arkansas' state fruit is the South Arkansas vine-ripened pink tomato?
We got there around five. After a good dinner I did some schoolwork and went to bed. Tomorrow we are going to Jackson, Tennessee.

Next! April 3rd

We've been home too long and felt the urge to leave.....it has been 24 days since our return. Enough time to get over the jet lag, check on things at the farm, cram in a bunch more school work, and get together with friends and family! I have to admit that I came up with this not-so-brilliant idea and I have no one to blame but myself :)

To fill everyone in, we are doing a similar loop to what we did in the Fall. We are almost to Hot Springs, AR to spend one night before revisiting the scene of the unfortunate demise of Big Tex in Jackson, TN. I'm going to watch for that huge curb in the road that we had to have hit.....ok, maybe I'll look for the mangled remains of the transmission instead! Bigger Tex is handling great and happy to be back to work.

So far, so good with no major incidents to report. Just a rogue side door on the trailer that wanted to slap around the cars and trucks in the lane next to us. I played a little Chinese Fire Drill but it came open again even after a good slamming. So Tim took charge and saved the day. Our hero!

It is hard to leave home this time of year while everything is becoming green and beautiful but I think where we are going will be wonderful as well. Can't wait to (finally) get to see the Biltmore Estate!
